In the North Georgia Mountains, there are many herbs that can be harvested this month!
September is a great time to start prepping for winter months. Unfortunately, with winter, there's usually a spike in cold & flu, both of which are viral infections. Fun fact, viral infections such as these (also Covid) can't be treated with antibiotics. Hydration, exercise, and a 3rd party tested multivitamin & probiotic are a great basis to trying to stay well or at least speed up recovery from these viral illnesses.
A few things I like to have on hand for winter months:
Elderberry syrup (to keep the immune system boosted or help heal quicker if I do get sick)
Ginger shots (these keep your lymph moving, help with inflammation, & can help drain sinuses)
Echinacea capsules (another immune support option)
Zinc (shorten the length of viral illnesses)
Lemon (add to water to increase hydration, can be used for hot or cold depending on your preference)
Colloidal silver throat spray (sore throat)
Neti pot (expels mucus)
Bone broth (hydration, vitamins & minerals)
Fire Cider (help thin mucus)
List of Herbs to Harvest Now:

Kayla
