September Awareness Month

There are many things to be mindful of before this month comes to a close.

September is known for the following:

  • Childhood Obesity: Diet & exercise are key factors here! Sometimes the seemingly "healthy" snacks are packed full of chemicals, preservatives, dyes, and sugar. Encourage oranges, apples, figs, plums, nuts or seeds, or even a boiled egg as an alternative.

  • National Recovery Month: Drug addiction is a major issue in the US. It's often hard for people to find support and help during times of need. No one plans to get addicted, but it happens far too often.

  • Healthy Aging: Staying active and fit can help promote a longer quality of life! Exercise & eat those antioxidants to age better, because let's face it, it's happening to each of us constantly & there's no stopping it.

  • HIV Awareness: The key here is truly going to be testing. If you suspect or aren't sure, please get tested. There are so many great conventional options for treatment, but again early detection can be a key factor!

  • Suicide Prevention: If you know someone or are someone struggling with Mental Health, please see someone or even call the National Suicide Hotline at: 988 or 911. Mental health is just as important as physical health. You wouldn't let a broken bone go untreated, don't forget that you deserve to have a beautiful mindset as well.

There are many others, but these just name a few. Try to keep in mind for the remainder of the month. You may find yourself surprised at how you can help someone or help yourself!

Herbally Yours,

Kayla
